Adoption Quality Map · 1 minute

What your dashboard doesn't show

A usage dashboard tells you how many people open AI. It doesn't tell you where the work really stands. The Adoption Quality Map reads one workflow with three questions and places it in one of five spots: two healthy, two that need a closer look, and one hidden risk.

The map describes the work, not the person. No score; you get a place on the map and the questions you couldn't answer. Your answers never leave your browser; no email needed.

Method

Three questions, five places

Question 1 · FitDoes AI fit this work?Is the time it saves bigger than the cost of checking its output?
No → Informed Non-UseYes → Question 2
Question 2 · Real workIs AI in the real work?Does the output reach the final product, or get set aside?
Not at all → AvoidOn the surface → ComplyYes → Question 3
Question 3 · JudgmentWho owns the judgment?Who catches errors, and when?
AI → OutsourcePeople → Integrate

Example

How one workflow reads on the map

Fictional example

An insurance company. Claim-file summaries are the workflow with the highest usage on the dashboard. Where would the executive put it on the map?

Start · guessLooking at the dashboardUsage is highest here. The executive's first guess: Integrate.○ Guess: Integrate
Question 1 · FitDoes AI fit this work?Yes. Summarising long files is faster with AI, checking included.Yes ↓ next question
Question 2 · Real workDoes the output reach the work?Yes. Summaries go straight into the file and into letters to customers.Yes ↓ next question
Question 3 · JudgmentWho catches errors? It's assumed they're checked. Checking time is in no target; nobody knows when an error was last caught.◌ Likely result: Outsource risk

On a dashboard, Integrate and Outsource look the same: high usage, fast work. The third question shows the difference. The result here is not a certainty: not knowing whether checks happen is not the same as knowing they don't. It is a risk hypothesis to test in the field.

Executive briefing

90 minutes, in person. Two leaders attend: the business-unit leader who owns the work, and a leader from HR or transformation.

You bring: one screen from your usage dashboard and the names of two workflows. No raw data, no names.

You leave with: one page. A first reading of both workflows, the questions you couldn't answer, the conditions in your hands and a candidate workflow for the Sprint.

The briefing commits you to nothing.

If you continue · founding pilot

Human Layer Sprint

Six weeks on one or two workflows. A decision and three reports for each workflow; a persistence check ninety days later.

Terms: paid, below standard rate, for the first three organizations. In return we ask for structured feedback and, if you agree, a named reference.
